Bellevue’s Newest Town Home Community Opens for Sales
Pre-sale begins for interested buyers at new transit-oriented town home community under construction in desirable Bellevue neighborhood
Park 12 offers homeowners convenient access to downtown Bellevue, Eastside’s largest employers, one of nation’s top school districts, highways, and future light rail
BELLEVUE, Wash. – (Nov. 15, 2016) – GIS International Group has announced the start of sales for Bellevue’s newest townhome community, Park 12, at 13601 Bel-Red Road. Located near the emerging Spring District neighborhood, it is named for the 12 homes nestled adjacent to a private, protected park space. Kelsey Creek, a migratory stream for salmon, runs through the park and adds to the exclusivity of the boutique community.
Ready for occupancy in 2017, the townhomes at Park 12 all have three bedrooms and range in size from 2,050 square feet to nearly 2,200 square feet. With prices starting in the $800,000s, the three-story homes feature private rooftop decks, ground floor patios and two-car, side-by-side garages.
“Today’s buyers are looking for homes that cater to outdoor living and entertainment, so we designed our rooftops to accommodate hot tubs, kitchens and other leisure spaces,” said Eugene Gershman, chief executive officer of GIS International. “What’s more, the private park is a one-of-a-kind amenity that sets Park 12 apart from other new construction options in Bellevue and the Eastside.”
Responding to strong market demand for turnkey homes, buyers have the ability to integrate the latest smart home technologies – often found only in multi-million dollar homes – and choose from a suite of upgrade options to personalize their home before moving in.
“Park 12 is a rare opportunity for buyers to own a new construction home in a sought-after Bellevue neighborhood, in one of the top school districts in the country, at a highly competitive price point,” said Jason Foss, Managing Broker/Director of NWG Signature Developments, a division of NWG Real Estate, the listing brokerage for Park 12.
Due to the community’s proximity to many of the region’s largest employers, Foss anticipates that Park 12 will appeal to buyers working at companies such as Microsoft, T-Mobile, Google, Expedia, Overlake Hospital and Group Health Medical Center. In addition, it was recently
announced that Amazon will open an office in Bellevue and REI has plans to relocate their corporate headquarters to the Spring District in a few years.
Today, Park 12 has a Walk Score rating of 73, which Foss expects will only increase in the future with the build-out of the Spring District and the opening an East Link Light Rail station just a few blocks away.
Park 12 is being built as a partnership between GIS International, the developer and builder; project architect SkB Architects; GCH, the landscape architect; Wetland Resources, the environmental consultant; and Grid Engineers (structural) and CSP Engineering (civil).
As part of the project’s construction mitigation plan, the team is restoring a portion of Kelsey Creek, improving the stream buffer, reestablishing native plantings and enhancing urban wildlife habitat.
